Another Word for “successfully” on a Resume
“Successfully” adds little: most bullets describe things you did successfully. Remove it and let a result show success.
Alternatives: delivered, achieved, completed, accomplished, exceeded.
Delivered
Use it when you completed work on time or to standard.
Example resume bullet
Delivered a website redesign two weeks early and 10% under budget.
Achieved
Use it when you hit a goal or target.
Example resume bullet
Achieved 118% of annual sales quota.
Completed
Use it when you finished a defined project.
Example resume bullet
Completed migration of 2,000 files to cloud storage with zero data loss.
Accomplished
Use it when the task was notably difficult.
Example resume bullet
Accomplished a full system audit in six weeks instead of the planned ten.
Exceeded
Use it when you went beyond the target.
Example resume bullet
Exceeded customer satisfaction goals for six consecutive quarters.
Tips for using these words
- Start each bullet with a strong verb, then add the result, ideally with a number.
- Match words to the job description where they are true for you, so both recruiters and screening software see the fit.
- Avoid repeating the same word in several bullets; vary your language across your resume.
